Public Kiln Firing Service in Oxidation (Electric Kilns)

Karst Ceramics now offers a public firing service for ceramic artists, students and hobby potters.

We fire work in an oxidation electric kiln and can accomodate, Bisque, Mid Fire and Stoneware firings.

Whether you’re making small batch test tiles or a larger batch of work, our firing service provides a reliable option when you don’t have access to your own kiln. Work is fired in 2-4 weeks of delivery, dependent on volume for the kilns.

Pricing: $15 per kg. Payable on drop off.

Studio open on Wednesday Evenings from 6-9pm and Friday mornings 10-1pm for drop off and pick up only during school term.

Make sure your work is clearly labeled.

Important: Firing is at your own risk. Every care is taken to handle and fire pieces safely, however breakages, cracking, warping or glaze firing faults can occur during the firing process. Karst ceramics accepts no liability for damage or loss.

IMPORTANT: All pieces for stoneware firing will need to be fired on a sitter/biscuit of the same clay to catch any glazes run mishaps.
